Mage GRIP-EMS Sequences
A quite simple Arcane Mage sequence. Has modifiers for major procs/cooldowns to use at specific times. Casts Touch of the Magi automatically. Alt: Arcane Barrage Ctrl: Arcane Missiles Shift: Arcane Orb
This is the Arcane Mage variation of my Super SBA sequence series. It works with any base and hero talent variations, simply import it and go! Goal: Help individuals like myself with limited hand mobility achieve good to great DPS with as little buttons as possible. Reality: You will still need to bind some buttons, you can not simple use 1 button to play WoW effectively. Q: What does Super SBA actually do? A: Super SBA uses Blizzard's build in Single Button Assist as the main engine for the sequence but will also use some cooldowns and abilities not included in the default Single Button Assist. It will also auto use trinkets. Note about trinkets: Be sure that if you have a trinket with a channel such as Puzzle Box or Wraps of Cosmic Madness that it is in your bottom trinket slot or it will not use it. Q: Is this better than SBA or a more advanced sequence? A: It depends, some classes do better than others with SBA and some specs are extremely difficult if not impossible to make a good EMS sequence for such as Balance Druid. Balance Druid is nearly impossible to get perfect using even the most advanced EMS sequence you can imagine, however SBA handles the Balance Druid spell rotation logic relatively well. Conclusion: SBA by itself will sometimes work better, EMS sequences will sometimes work better. My solution is to meet it all in the middle, you get a little bit of the best of both worlds with very little sacrifice. I managed to do pretty well in Midnight S1 using purely SBA and some macros, this just combines everything I've used into one package. How to use the sequence Import into GRIP-EMS with the import code like any other. Keybind the sequence OR use my preference the Action Bar Overrides plugin. Add any abilities not covered by the Super SBA onto your bars! Run at 100ms or spam the key as fast as you can. ?????? Profit! That's all! Pretty simple, if you have any issues please feel free to leave a comment here or join the GRIP-EMS Discord. My creator thread link for the official Discord: https://discord.gg/NQU5wUn6tZ
My sequences require use of modifiers for higher precision than RNG allows in sequence spamming. In this frost mage build, we are utilizing ctrl for Blizzard, shift for Flurry on-demand, and alt for Ice Lance. This is not a sequence if you are looking for something that sends everything for you, but a great helper sequence for just having to manage your shatter stacks essentially. Talent String: CAEAMhlVtghLZL4RZzExaQoBYNzwMLzMzsMMzEzMGzMzMziZmZMjZgAAAzMzssMz0GAAsBAAAsAw2yYmZGMbDjZYDAAgZ2AmhxAmBD Mods (Frequency of use): Alt - Ice Lance (Your spender, you will manage this and generally spend until 6+ or 12+ depending on your thoughts regarding Thermal Void procs) Shift - Flurry (Generator and a requirement to proc Thermal Void) Ctrl - Blizzard (I built this for the target version, not cursor. I personally don't run Freezing Rain but this takes care of the free blizzard, if you prefer cursor, just add @cursor to the [mod:ctrl, etc.] block. Gameplay: Generally speaking works with any talent loadout, spends Flurry automatically but if you want to micro-manage it specifically for thermal void that's why Shift is there. Otherwise close your eyes and just press Alt on every fingers of frost and down to around 4-5 stacks of shatter and eventually you get down to frostbolt, but the procs will have you flicking Alt most of the time to shatter targets. Troubleshooting and Author Notes: This is a very, very simple but effective sequence if you prefer managment over your resources. I have tested this the majority of 12.0.7 and have found no lock ups, delayed casts, etc. Flurry gets spent automatically which often correctly triggers thermal void even when holding Alt, but to be safe you can use movement without holding Alt and get Flurry to instantly proc Thermal Void or you can simply press Shift. 90% of the time of clicking this you will be holding Alt once your secondary stats in Crit line up. Set up for on-use trinket in slot 13, but change as needed, along with modifier preference. As this is basically a four step sequence, there's not much I can think to offer for troubleshooting beyond the basics. Works fine for raid builds as well. Last Updated: 12.0.7 Midnight
