Slowdog's GD - Updated 05-28-26 | GRIP Tank Macro - Elune's - No APEX Build V7.1 M+

1.2
DruidGuardianMythic+Elune's ChosenGRIP 2.2.0Sequential66 steps

Overview: Guardian Druid, Elune's Chosen, Mythic+ build for Midnight Season 1. V7.1 runs a Sequential loop built entirely around Thrash as the primary damage and healing engine. Thrash does the work, Ironfur keeps you alive, and everything else supports those two things. No Apex, no Raze, no manual Incarnation management. The macro handles the rotation, and you handle the situation. Interrupts and taunts outside the macro return cleanly without disrupting the rotation or inflating Moonfire What it does: Thrash maintains near 100% uptime automatically. Ironfur delivers through dedicated steps across the loop. Ctrl gives you on-demand Ironfur when a pack is hitting harder than expected. Shift gives you Frenzied Regeneration when your health drops and you need it now. Lunar Beam fires automatically when available. Barkskin and Moonfire share a single castsequence step that fires Moonfire first then Barkskin when it comes off cooldown, cycling roughly every 60 seconds naturally and ignoring target changes entirely. Incarnation fires automatically in the opener and on cooldown through the sequence. You focus on positioning, interrupts, and cooldown decisions. The macro handles everything else. What's not in it: Trinkets are situational; bind those manually. Survival Instincts is intentionally excluded; you want precise control over that cooldown. Incapacitating Roar is manual. No Apex, no Raze. Modifiers: Shift is Frenzied Regeneration. Ctrl is Ironfur. Alt is unused. Setup: Import the GRIP string into GRIP-EMS and load the talent string in the Talents panel. Create a macro named exactly MOONSPAM with this text: /castsequence [nomod, nochanneling] Moonfire, Barkskin /cast Ironfur The macro name must be MOONSPAM exactly, or the sequence breaks. Drag the sequence to your bar and bind it. Keep Survival Instincts and Incapacitating Roar on separate keybinds. Press Ctrl before the big pull lands. Press Shift before the big hit arrives. Feedback: Drop a comment with your ilvl and key level, and let me know how it's running. Every data point helps tune this further.

Should you have Mangle in the sequence? I only ask because when I lookup rotations for a no apex build I don't ever see it used

S
Slowdog2 months ago

Good question. In a manual rotation you're right, Mangle is low priority and most guides ignore it. In an automated sequence it serves a specific purpose: rage generation. Ironfur costs rage, and without Mangle filling the GCDs between Thrash presses, the sequence runs dry on rage, and Ironfur uptime drops. Thrash is still the primary engine and leads Mangle in CPM in every log I've validated, so Mangle isn't dominating the rotation; it's supporting it by keeping the rage flowing so Ironfur can do its job. Remove it, and you'll see Ironfur's uptime suffer. At least I did in my experiments while trying to strike the right balance.

Hey man, no idea why but whenever I drag the button or use the override plugin the sequence doesn't show up on my bars.

S
Slowdogabout 1 month ago

Is it just this sequence, or all of them? You might want to upload another sequence and test it. LMK if it is just this one.

I ended up sorting it out, I didn't realize I had my button bound within EMS to another sequence. 100% user error, sorry for the trouble haha

Thank you so much for letting me know.

Hey mate! First thx for great work. Can u little explain, do i need drag macro "MOONSPAM" to panel, or just keep it in macros? Bcs if i dont have a rage or cdr i need to spam Lunar Beam manually, so i think add few lunar beem in string ?

S
Slowdog15 days ago

Hey man, appreciate the kind words. MOONSPAM doesn't need to go anywhere on your bars, and you don't need to drag it. GRIP just needs it sitting in your macro list, and it calls it internally whenever the sequence steps into it. Same story with Lunar Beam, it's already wired into the loop with its own guard that checks if you know it and if you're in combat, and when both are true, it fires on its own without you touching it. So if you're not seeing it go off, the first thing I'd check is whether Lunar Beam is actually talented in whatever build you're currently running, because if it's not in your spec, the sequence just quietly skips that step, and it'll look like nothing's happening even though everything's working exactly as intended. If it is talented and it's still not casting, let me know, and we'll figure out what's actually going on.

Works perfetly just did a +18 with this. Can you please add Sundering Road and use Trinkets to it pls?

S
Slowdog8 days ago

I don't use Sundering Road in this talent build. About the trinkets, you could change set one to something like this: /targetenemy [noharm][dead] /startattack /use 13 /use 14 /cast [noform:1, nochanneling] Bear Form; [mod:shift] Frenzied Regeneration; [mod:ctrl] Ironfur Thank you for the use of my macro and letting me know you are rocking with it. LMK if you need anything else or if the trinket solution doesn't work for you.

Thanks for the sequence! One question. In case I missed it somewhere, what ms would you recommend?

S
Slowdog5 days ago

It really depends on your computer and connection speeds. You can start at 250 ms, which I run at, and work your way down in 50 ms increments. I never build any of my sequences to run at less than 100 ms, and those are very rare for me.

Performance notes

Ironfur 91.73% uptime across full +13 run, Moonfire 2.4 CPM with 37 Skull Bash and 21 Growl interrupts without inflation, Thrash 13.6 CPM, Barkskin 1.6 CPM on cooldown. Validated on Seat of the Triumvirate +13. Previous architecture produced 8-9 CPM Moonfire under interrupt pressure; resolved by replacing reset=target castsequence with a Moonfire/Barkskin castsequence and disabling resetOnTarget at the sequence level.
