Slowdog's BM Hunter | Pack Leader | GRIP M+ Macro ST & MT V1.1
v1.1Slowdog's BM Hunter | Pack Leader | GRIP M+ Macro ST V1.1 Overview: Beast Mastery Hunter, Pack Leader, Mythic+ single target build for Midnight Season 1. V1.1 is a community-driven update built on feedback from ghall_31289, an ilvl 286 player who tested V1.0 across normal, heroic, and mythic raid content and identified three areas for improvement. Hunter's Mark has been removed from the sequence entirely and moved to manual, Wild Thrash is now a separate manual button for positioning control, and the block order has been restructured to lead every cycle with Barbed Shot before Bestial Wrath and Kill Command. Validated across training dummy sessions and a live +5 Windrunner Spire key on Kilzya (Stormrage). What it does: Barbed Shot leads every three-step block, maintaining the rolling DoT and priming the damage multipliers before Bestial Wrath fires. Bestial Wrath follows immediately, opening the damage window. Kill Command fires third inside the Bestial Wrath window on every pass, feeding Nature's Ally. Cobra Shot fills focus dumps between windows. SHIFT gives you Survival of the Fittest. CTRL gives you Mend Pet. What's not in it: Counter Shot stays on a separate keybind, interrupt manually. Hunter's Mark is not in the sequence -- apply it manually on boss fights or long single target encounters for the damage bonus. Wild Thrash is not in this sequence, use the MT sequence on packs. Trinkets and Misdirection stay manual. Modifiers: SHIFT is Survival of the Fittest. CTRL is Mend Pet. Setup: Import the GRIP string into GRIP-EMS. Talent string: C0PApei1JmYNvFfEFaN5bWuGKAMmxwCsAzwQDbAAYGPwyMzsYGmZmZGzMMzMmhZGzMzgZGzYGMmmBAAAAAAAAMzYMgZ2QwiZBsNA. Drag the sequence to your bar and bind it alongside the MT sequence so you can swap between pulls. Run at 250ms autoclick. Performance: ST dummy -- KC 17.2-18.1 CPM, Barbed Shot 99.91-99.94% uptime. Live +5 Windrunner Spire -- KC 17.7 CPM, Barbed Shot 99.51% uptime. Feedback: Drop a comment with your ilvl and key level and let me know how it's running. Every data point helps tune this further. Slowdog's BM Hunter | Pack Leader | GRIP M+ Macro MT V1.1 Overview: Beast Mastery Hunter, Pack Leader, Mythic+ AoE build for Midnight Season 1. V1.1 mirrors the ST update driven by ghall_31289's feedback. Hunter's Mark removed from the sequence and moved to manual. Wild Thrash removed as an in-sequence filler and replaced with a dedicated step that fires on its own cooldown for Beast Cleave uptime, giving you full positioning control over where your pet cleaves. Same block architecture as ST V1.1 with Wild Thrash replacing Cobra Shot as the AoE filler. Use this on trash packs of three or more targets and swap to ST on bosses. Validated across training dummy sessions and a live +5 Windrunner Spire key on Kilzya (Stormrage). What it does: Barbed Shot leads every three-step block. Bestial Wrath follows, opening the damage window. Kill Command fires third inside the window on every pass. Wild Thrash fires between blocks maintaining Beast Cleave and Kill Cleave on all nearby targets. SHIFT gives you Survival of the Fittest. CTRL gives you Mend Pet. What's not in it: Counter Shot stays manual. Hunter's Mark is not in the sequence -- apply it manually on long fights or when you're sitting on a single target for an extended period. Trinkets and Misdirection stay manual. Modifiers: SHIFT is Survival of the Fittest. CTRL is Mend Pet. Setup: Import the GRIP string into GRIP-EMS. Talent string: C0PApei1JmYNvFfEFaN5bWuGKAMmxwCsAzwQDbAAYGPwyMzsYGmZmZGzMMzMmhZGzMzgZGzYGMmmBAAAAAAAAMzYMgZ2QwiZBsNA. Drag the sequence to your bar alongside the ST sequence. Run at 250ms autoclick. Performance: MT dummy -- KC 18.8-19.4 CPM, Barbed Shot 99.44-99.74% uptime, Wild Thrash 5.6 CPM. Live +5 Windrunner Spire -- KC 14.7-16.5 CPM across AoE encounters, Barbed Shot 79.64-98.78% uptime, Wild Thrash 4.2-5.3 CPM. The lower floor on Barbed Shot uptime in live content reflects manual interrupt usage resetting the sequence mid-cycle, which is expected and correct behavior. Feedback: Drop a comment with your ilvl and key level and let me know how it's running. Every data point helps tune this further.

My current DR macro averaged about 150kdps. This macro averaged about 155kdps (nicely done!). However, the DR macro peaked MUCH sooner, hitting about 300kdps before sweeping back down to "average" territory. I may run a log analyzer, and make some charts to see where the crossover is. On long fights, though, yours outperformed the DR macro in AoE. I'm testing the ST next.
Oops, forgot, I'm iLvl 272.
ST was within 1% of the DR macro, so that's a win as well. Averaged about 52kdps. All of this on the target dummies, as that's where I usually baseline hunters.
@mmoderelict#0 Thanks for testing. I am slowly transitioning some of my private GSE DPS sequences over to EMS. This kind of feedback helps a lot since I don't play DPS toons much. I am mainly a tank kind of person. Once again, thank you kindly for your feedback, be it good or bad; it helps me tweak things. My hunter I tested this on is iLvl 194-ish; I think that is what I remember without logging him in.
I'll have to check this out. you been on fire lately pushing out those sequences I noticed =)
Feeling pretty good on dummies for me but I have shifted Bestial Wrath to a modifier so I can hold it if it's near the end of a fight or there is a weakness phase coming up eg. L'ura in seat.
Hey mate I do a bit of heroic and some mythic raiding i thought ied test this out and see how it went due to the tools needed for higher end raiding i find button bloat a problem so im always looking for ways to optimise my set up and efficiency . So first up I did lfr and a normal raid it performed well dps wise pretty i found a 5000 to 8000 dps per second loss but for that level of content its negligible however I took it to heroic this is were I noticed it the most I lost 20k dps witch is substantial i know this is a mythic build however most hunters are not using single target in many of the fights i think there's maby 2 you want st in the rest benifit from the cleave . Another issue was hunters mark hunter pets need to be able to bounce from target to target dealing burst and cleave damage i had a 5 second window were usually im targeting mobs then doing massive damage with wrath but i instead got 6 hunters marks in a row that right there would have easily solved the 20k dps discrepancies you also started the rotation with kill command kill command should never be used without a barbed shot ever and barbed shot is always priority over cobra shot . But still was impressed im unless with this stuff so can't make my own but for mythic and raiding the builds are almost identical i would be happy to link you the builds if needed even the logs to see its performance so my big tips would be remove hunters mark its a dps loss at a point only time you should worry about hm is boss fights or if the fights a long one with single target or at max 3 mobs anything else your just stifling the dps output of the other abilities number 2 would be thrash should be independent and all attack abilities be macros in with your pets were and how you use thrash is important and makes a big diffrence in overall damage the pets will also be far more responsive if macros in to your attacks ie big pack in raid or mythic tank gathers you target mob directly in middle with thrash you get aoe damage on all those mobs as opposed to pets on outside of pack u hit thrash and hit 3 on the outside of pack ied love to see or make one that has b wrath barbed shot and kill command in one fluid sequence hunters mark manual and thrash manual not a one button build but a optimised de clutter i will always have 15 plus keys to hit in raids but I think you could max the damage and maintain around 90k to 115 k dps if you did and currently the average its between 60 and 100 its varied but depends on comp buffs fight etc also im ilvl 286
Thank you very much for the testing. Also your comment below and what you did to make it better. I will incorporate what you are talking about into my next update. Also, feel free to post a sequence with this update as your own. I am sure people will love it.
Update figured it out made the adjustments remove hunters mark thrash seperate manual button and re arranged the order havent seen anything under 90 k dps as high as 180k dps very happy haha
Are you able to share your updated version?
