Slowdog's Ret - Midnight S1 | GRIP M+ - Templar ST & MT V2.0
v1.0Slowdog's Ret - Midnight S1 | GRIP M+ Macro - Templar ST V2.0 Overview: Retribution Paladin, Templar, Mythic+ build for Midnight Season 1. V2.0 is a full rebuild from V1.0 -- switched to Crusading Strikes, dropped Templar Strike entirely, and rebuilt around a proper loop architecture with a one-time opener followed by an 18-action loop that cycles indefinitely. Execution Sentence pairs with Avenging Wrath on every cooldown cycle. The macro handles the rotation, you handle interrupts and positioning. Rebuke stays outside the macro. Use this on bosses and single targets. Swap to Slowdog's_Ret_MT_V2.0 on trash packs. What it does: Blade of Justice fires on cooldown as the primary generator, appearing three times across the loop to chase the cooldown aggressively. Judgment maintains the damage amp debuff and appears three times across the loop. Crusading Strikes generates Holy Power passively from auto attacks -- no Templar Strike steps, no wasted GCDs. Final Verdict is the primary spender appearing four times across the loop. Hammer of Light fires automatically off Wake of Ashes proc windows in both the opener and the loop. Execution Sentence and Avenging Wrath are paired on every cooldown cycle including the opener. Divine Toll fires on cooldown through the loop. Shift gives you Word of Glory when your health drops. Ctrl gives you Divine Shield when you need to bubble. What's not in it: Divine Storm is in the AOE sequence, not this one. Trinkets are situational; bind those manually. Blessing of Protection and Blessing of Freedom are manual. No mouseover healing macros built in. Modifiers: Shift is Word of Glory. Ctrl is Divine Shield. Setup: Import the GRIP string into GRIP-EMS and load the talent string in the Talents panel: CYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMa22mZmlxMzMAAAAAAmpMLzwMjthZbYmtZMGjhZsxGAAQmZaZmZbGAwGgBAjZYgZMzshlZwwYYwA. Drag the sequence to your bar and bind it. Keep Rebuke on a separate keybind. Keep trinkets manual. Performance: Blade of Justice 91.81% uptime, Final Verdict 7.0 CPM, validated on +10 Windrunner Spire. Feedback: Drop a comment with your ilvl and key level and let me know how it's running. Every data point helps tune this further. Slowdog's Ret - Midnight S1 | GRIP M+ Macro - Templar MT V2.0 Overview: Retribution Paladin, Templar, Mythic+ AOE build for Midnight Season 1. V2.0 is a full rebuild from V1.0 -- switched to Crusading Strikes, dropped Templar Strike entirely, and rebuilt around a proper loop architecture with a one-time opener followed by an 18-action loop that cycles indefinitely. Same opener and cooldown pairing as the ST sequence -- the primary change is Divine Storm replaces Final Verdict as the main spender, with one Final Verdict kept in the loop for single target funnel. Use this on trash packs of three or more targets. Swap back to Slowdog's_Ret_ST_V2.0 on bosses and single targets. What it does: Blade of Justice fires on cooldown as the primary generator, appearing three times across the loop. Judgment maintains the damage amp debuff throughout the loop. Crusading Strikes generates Holy Power passively from auto attacks -- no Templar Strike steps, no wasted GCDs. Divine Storm is the primary spender appearing three times across the loop, hitting all nearby targets. Final Verdict appears once for single target funnel. Hammer of Light fires automatically off Wake of Ashes proc windows. Execution Sentence and Avenging Wrath are paired on every cooldown cycle, including the opener. Divine Toll fires on cooldown through the loop. Shift gives you Word of Glory. Ctrl gives you Divine Shield. What's not in it: Final Verdict is the primary spender in the ST sequence. Drag the sequence to your bar and bind it alongside the ST sequence so you can swap between pulls. Keep Rebuke on a separate keybind. Performance: Blade of Justice 99.82% uptime on dummy, Divine Storm 15.9 CPM on dummy, validated on +10 Windrunner Spire alongside ST sequence. Amazing!!! Lve it!!!!
good steady dps but feels slow, tried adjusting my fire rates but feel like its possibly choking, could be wrong. But couldn't you combine the two and shift does ST, ctrl bubble, alt word of glory? offering ideas please take no offense
Appreciate the feedback, and no offense was taken. On the "choking" feeling, it could be real, or it could be fire rate tuning on your end; hard to tell without a log. If you've got a Warcraft Logs link from a run where it felt slow, I can look at cast timing and see if something's waiting on GCD when it shouldn't be. On combining ST and MT into one sequence with modifiers, I've thought about it, and I'm going to pass on that one. Every sequence here follows one ability per step, no branching logic inside a single step. A modifier-switched ST/MT/defensive macro breaks that pattern and turns two sequences that are each independently tested into one that needs testing in every modifier combination. Keeping them separate is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. If you get a log over, I'll take a look.

The link isn't resolving on my end. Warcraft Logs is saying no report was found with that code. Possible it's private and needs to be set to public/unlisted, or something got cut off when you pasted it. Can you double-check and resend?
lets try that again: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/8YFw7WLdf6qR4nKk?fight=last&type=damage-done&source=1
Sequence fires 91.81% in the description, 78.77% in your run, which is a real gap, not fire-rate tuning on your end. Here's why: GRIP's Sequential step function fires in fixed order and loops back around, and Blade of Justice sits at three positions in the 19-step loop, but the spacing between those positions is uneven so there are stretches where it's off cooldown just waiting for its slot to come back around, and that's the choking feeling you're getting even though you can't quite name the mechanism behind it. I'm holding off on reworking the spacing until 12.1 drops on the 11th, since it changes Holy Power generation significantly across Crusading Strikes, Art of War, and the Skyfury interactions all at once, and tuning the loop against numbers that are about to shift means redoing the whole thing again in four days anyway, so better to just wait and get it right once. Appreciate you pushing on this one; the number was wrong, and you caught it.
no worries i had same issues with gse except id blow my load have high burst then fall flat. your grip it smoothing it out a lot and im above 100k easily gse i was hitting mid 90's
Just need you to update all your Sequences lol.. I know its a lot m8.. but yours are consistently good.. waiting for Herald build :)

Performance notes
ST V2.0 Performance Notes: Final Verdict 7.0 CPM, Blade of Justice 91.81% uptime on a live +10 Windrunner Spire run, Execution Sentence paired with Avenging Wrath on every cooldown cycle, Hammer of Light 1.5 CPM firing off Wake of Ashes proc windows, Divine Toll 1.6 CPM. Crusading Strikes 17.5 CPM confirming passive Holy Power generation is running correctly throughout. Validated on +10 Windrunner Spire. Blade of Justice uptime improved from 37-56% in V1.0 live keys to 91.81% in V2.0 due to removal of Templar Strike steps and the proper loop architecture freeing GCDs to catch Blade of Justice off cooldown. Use Slowdog's_Ret_MT_V2.0 on trash packs. MT V2.0 Performance Notes: Divine Storm 15.9 CPM on dummy, 6.8 CPM on live +10 Windrunner Spire, Blade of Justice 99.82% uptime on dummy, 91.81% uptime in live key, Final Verdict 3.4 CPM on dummy maintaining single target funnel, Hammer of Light 1.4 CPM, Execution Sentence paired with Avenging Wrath on every cooldown cycle. Crusading Strikes 25.5 CPM on dummy, confirming passive Holy Power generation running correctly. Validated alongside ST V2.0 on +10 Windrunner Spire.
