Slowdog's Ret Paladin S2 | HotS ST & MT V1.5
Slowdog's Ret Paladin S2 | M+ HotS ST V1.5 Overview: Retribution Paladin, Herald of the Sun, Mythic+ build for Midnight Season 2. This replaces the Templar builds now that Herald of the Sun is the dominant Season 2 pick, confirmed against real Season 2 leaderboard and Archon rotation data before building. V1.5 runs a Priority step function over a Sequential Loop rather than a straight sequential chain, which lets Final Verdict, Divine Storm, Judgment, and Blade of Justice compete for turns based on weight instead of firing in a fixed order every pass. Run this at 150ms; it's tuned for that click rate and loses real DPS at 100ms in this testing. Use this on bosses and single targets. Swap to Slowdog's_Ret_S2_v1.5_MT_HotS on trash packs. What it does: Divine Storm, Final Verdict, Judgment, and Blade of Justice all sit inside a Sequential Loop, with Wake of Ashes, Execution Sentence, and Divine Toll weighted at the top level alongside the Loop itself under a Priority step function. Crusading Strikes still generates Holy Power passively off auto attacks with no dedicated step needed. Hammer of Wrath rides inside the normal Judgment cast during Avenging Wrath rather than needing its own step. Ctrl gives you Avenging Wrath. Shift gives you Blinding Light. What's not in it: Divine Storm is weighted low here since this is the single-target build, it's the primary spender on the MT sequence instead. Trinkets are situational; bind those manually. Rebuke stays outside the macro on its own keybind. Modifiers: Ctrl is Avenging Wrath. Shift is Blinding Light. Ctrl+Shift is Word of Glory. Setup: Import the GRIP string into GRIP-EMS and load the talent string in the Talents panel: CYEAzbn3egSOtoSwvPw1U1vTLAAAAAwoZbbmZWGzMzAAAAAAYmyYGmZsNmthZ2mxYMGmxCbAYWmtZmZrBBAAsAYAwYGGYGzMbAzMDjZMYA. Drag the sequence to your bar and bind it. Keep Rebuke on a separate keybind. We ran at 150ms for this testing. Performance: Validated across two live Mythic+ keys at ilvl 280 (Altar of Fangs +4, Voidscar Arena +5). Maintained a steady DPS of 33,000-36,000 on real boss encounters in both keys, consistent across dungeons. Worth being upfront that this wasn't tested on a heavily geared character, and no tier set bonuses were active during any of the validation pulls. What's here comes from what we've got, and it should be more than enough to get you moving in the right direction. If you're running tier and want to send logs, that data helps everyone. Feedback: Drop a comment with your ilvl and key level and let me know how it's running. Every data point helps further tune this. Slowdog's Ret Paladin S2 | M+ HotS MT V1.5 Overview: Retribution Paladin, Herald of the Sun, Mythic+ AOE build for Midnight Season 2. Same Priority-over-Sequential-Loop architecture as the ST sequence, but Divine Storm takes the primary spender slot instead of Final Verdict, and the Loop is trimmed to avoid double-weighting any one spell. Run this at 100ms; it's tuned for that click rate and loses significant DPS at 150ms. Use this on trash packs. Swap back to Slowdog's_Ret_S2_v1.5_ST_HotS on bosses and single targets. What it does: Divine Storm, Final Verdict, Judgment, and Blade of Justice all sit inside a Sequential Loop weighted against Wake of Ashes, Execution Sentence, and Divine Toll at the top level under Priority. Crusading Strikes generates Holy Power passively off auto attacks with no dedicated step. Cast distribution comes out even across the real rotation; Divine Storm and Final Verdict both land in the low-to-mid 20 percent range of real casts rather than one spell burying the others. Holy Power waste holds steady around 21-23% across every pull tested. DPS scales hard with target count and pack size, as expected for a cleave build; expect real variance pull to pull depending on how many adds are up. Ctrl gives you Avenging Wrath. Shift gives you Blinding Light. Ctrl+Shift gives you Word of Glory on yourself. What's not in it: Final Verdict is the primary spender on the ST sequence instead. Drag the sequence to your bar and bind it alongside the ST sequence so you can swap between pulls. Keep Rebuke on a separate keybind. Run at 100ms. Performance: Validated across two live Mythic+ keys at ilvl 280 (Altar of Fangs +4, Voidscar Arena +5). Per-pull DPS ranged from roughly 25,000 on small adds up to 200,000+ on the largest waves, with a healthy median well above 95,000 on dungeons with dense trash. Holy Power waste remained in the 21-23% range across all pulls checked. Full disclosure, this wasn't tuned on a stacked character and no tier set bonuses were active for any of the test pulls. What we've got here should be plenty to get people going, and if you're running tier- and heavier gear and want to share logs, that helps push this further along. Feedback: Drop a comment with your ilvl and key level, and let me know how it's running. Every data point helps further tune this.
