Added

Author dropdown in the SequenceEditor metadata pane for brand-new sequences. The pre-v2.1.6 disabled Author EditBox is replaced (while the sequence is unsaved) with a dropdown over your configured pseudonym (if any), the current character, and any other character on this BattleNet account the addon has seen log in since v2.1.6 was installed. The default selection follows the privacy mode: Pseudonymous defaults to the configured pseudonym; every other mode defaults to the current character. After first save the dropdown hides and the locked-author EditBox takes over the slot, preserving the v2.1.0 Authorship Integrity model. The cryptographic originalAuthorIdentity still derives from the active BattleTag inside StampOriginal, so signature integrity is unchanged regardless of which display name the user picks.

New sequences created with Privacy mode set to Pseudonymous and a pseudonym configured now stamp the pseudonym as the original author at creation, instead of stamping the current character name and swapping only at export time. Previously, an MFDOOM-style setup (pseudonym "MFDOOM", privacy default "Pseudonymous") would show the current character name as the original author until the sequence was shared, because BuildExportPayload rewrote the name on export but StampOriginal had no awareness of the pseudonym at creation. The author dropdown now defaults to the pseudonym in this configuration, so the locked originalAuthor matches user intent on the first save. Reported on Discord by MFDOOM.

#

Author picker validates the chosen name against the configured pseudonym + BattleNet roster before stamping. Closes a defence-in- depth gap where any direct caller of StampOriginal could pass an arbitrary name and have it stamped + signed; the picker dropdown alone is no longer the only enforcement boundary.

#

The pseudonymous-mode default now also applies to the Fork path. Previously, a user with privacy default set to Pseudonymous and a pseudonym configured would still see the current character name stamped on a fork; only New sequences picked up the pseudonym. Now both paths read GetDefaultAuthorChoice(seq.privacyMode) when no explicit picker selection is supplied.

#

Fork-path pseudonym default now reads the account-level config.privacyDefault when the fork's per-sequence privacyMode is unset. Phase 1.5 fixed the StampOriginal resolver but the DuplicateSequence -> StampForked -> StampOriginal integration path builds the new sequence with no privacyMode field, so the resolver still fell through to the current character name. DuplicateSequence now initializes privacyMode from config.privacyDefault (same fallback chain Defaults.lua uses for brand-new sequences), and GetDefaultAuthorChoice now treats a nil/empty privacyMode as "consult config.privacyDefault." Both paths now produce identical author defaults for the same user configuration.

#

originalAuthorRealm and the corresponding modifierChain entry now carry the realm of the chosen character (or fall back to the current realm for the pseudonym option). Picking an alt from a different realm no longer overwrites the realm field with the editing character's realm.
